LAST WEEK: 4-1 (80%) CAREER: 22-17-1 (56%)
Screw Stanford. Staying away from weekday games this week.
Week 9 CFB
10/26 12noonEST #13 Wisconsin (+14.5) at #3 Ohio State
Ohio State squares up against Wisconsin coming off an embarrassing last second loss to Illinois. I expect the Badgers to run the ball and play more motivated than ever knowing this game will define their season. Wisconsin DC Jim Leonhard will be a head coach somewhere next year and I am interested to see if his defense can contain arguably the most explosive offense in America. I like the Badgers to play their style and keep this one close.
Ohio State 27 Wisconsin 17
10/26 3:30EST #15 Texas (PK) at TCU
I understand Texas nearly lost at home to Kansas last week, but this is one of TCU’s worst years I can remember and the Longhorns are still playing for a rematch vs Oklahoma in the B12 championship.
Texas 38 TCU 24
10/26 3:30EST Maryland (+17) at Minnesota
Something has got to give right? I hate to disrespect Fleck again, but the Terps can fight with just about anyone (except Penn State). Minnesota wins, but 17 is a lot.
Minnesota 28 Maryland 14
10/26 3:30EST Oklahoma State (+11) at #23 Iowa State
I love Matt Campbell and the Iowa State Cyclones. They are 2 plays away from being undefeated and should be ranked much higher than 23. That all being said, I will not let last weeks late blowout loss to Baylor lead me to believe that the pokes will roll over and die this year. Even with the outside rumors of this being Gundy’s last year at OKST, I like them to bounce back and play it close in Ames.
Iowa State 34 Oklahoma State 29
10/26 7:30EST Mizzou at Kentucky (+10.5)
Still kicking myself for not betting Vandy last week. I have notoriously faded Mizzou all season and I will do just that again this week. Look for Mike Stoops and the Cats to pull off the second upset of this overrated Mizzou team in a row.
Kentucky 27 Mizzou 24
Other games to keep an eye out for:
Oklahoma @ Kansas State, Auburn @ LSU, Penn State @ MSU, ND @ Michigan
