Lions and Caldwell Agree to Extension

Jim Caldwell has signed a ‘multi-year’ extension with the Detroit Lions. Caldwell’s original 4-year deal was going to expire at the end of this season, and there were many questions surrounding his status as the Lions head master.

He’s 29-21 career as the Lions head coach, and frankly anyone that goes above .500 in Detroit gets an extension. They gave Schwartz an extension right after he made the playoffs, he never had another winning season in the D.

The stakes are higher now for Caldwell, and management is expecting much more than a playoff appearance to keep them happy.
