The Browns are going to have to wait to see their first overall pick suit up for the first time. Myles Garrett suffered a high ankle sprain in practice and where no official target week has been selected expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
A once in a decade type talent, this is tough to see as I was looking forward to seeing Garrett play 4 quarters of football, not just a few preseason drives. I also really like the looks of this Browns defense. They won’t be great, but the pieces that they have should make them competitive on that side of the ball. For a pass rusher, an ankle injury is tough. Last year, Lions’ DE Ziggy Ansah only notched 2 sacks after dealing with an ankle all season, I fear the same fate for Garrett.
It’s a tough loss for the Browns, but at least it’s not for an entire season. Nate Orchard and Carl Nassib will have to pick up some of the slack. Hopefully Garrett can make a quick recovery.
