Lions Rookie Receiver Kenny Golladay is Ochocinco Approved

Chad Johnson was invited to Lions practice in Allen Park, and he had a few takeaways, mainly revolving around Lions rookie receiver Kenny Galloday.

In two tweets, Ochocinco professed his love for the 6’4″ rookie from Northern Illinois who looks to be the red-zone threat the Lions generally lacked and also lost with Anquan Boldin.

We’ll ignore the fact that Johnson butchered the last name, the tweet is plenty. I would consider August 4th at 8:40 am the official departure of the Kenny Golladay hype train. He has been getting plenty of praise since being drafted, and from going to camp myself last week I can say that he looks really impressive running routes and is quite nimble for his 6’4″ frame. Check out this play from training camp that caught people’s attention.

In the second tweet, Johnson sent a video of Golladay running an out route, with the caption:

“I’m not a scout but I know my {redacted due to Back Judge profanity policy}, Golladay is gone be special ®”

Obviously this doesn’t automatically make Golladay a 1,200 yard 10 TD guy, but getting noticed by one of the NFL’s best to do it has to be pretty cool for him. I’m looking forward to watching Golladay this preseason to see what kind of role he may play for the Lions this year.
